Welcome Message

Welcome to my blog!  If you are from a country other than Thailand and are married to a Thai wife, or if you're Thai and are looking for information about visa extension and work permit renewal for your husband, you've come to the right place.  I take care of documents and help my husband do his Non-immigrant O visa and work permit every year, and I know how painful it is.  Every year, there's something different.  Every year, you have a pain in your stomach just thinking about redoing your visa.  You have doubts and wonder what new rules they're going to come up with next.  How much money you have to make.  Do you have to include your tax documents with the visa renewal application?  All kinds of questions, right?

When my husband and I moved to Thailand (I'm Thai--I just was away for a while), nobody told me anything about visa and work permit.  I had to do it on my own.  The first year was a real torture.  And even after the first couple of years when I thought I had it all figured out, I was still dumbfounded by a little thing that I missed that actually cost me a whole lot.  So here I am creating this blog, hoping that I would be of some help to many of you out there.

Note, however, that I'm not an official person or anything from either office, so my information only comes from my experience renewing those important documents for my husband.  And now that we've just had a new government, there are changes that I've learned--and there will be more that I still don't know yet.  So please understand that what I put on the blog may not always be correct.  It's only the most recent information about the requirements and things to do that I have personally learned (I renew my husband's Non-O visa in August and work permit in September, so my information is kept up-to-date accordingly).  And as soon as I have new information, I'll be sure and update the pages to the best of my ability.

Sincerely,
